Why are LED lights so efficient?

Modern LED lights are more efficient than light bulbs or fluorescent lamps, so they are the best choice for upgrading lighting fixtures in different countries and regions. The principle of operation of LED lamps is very different from that of light bulbs and fluorescent lamps. In LEDs, current passes through the microchip and then through the semiconductor material in the light source and releases energy in the form of light. In a light bulb, current is passed through a metal wire and the metal wire is heated until it becomes very hot and therefore emits light. In this process, the light bulb emits about 90% of its energy in the form of heat and only 10% of its energy is emitted in the form of light. In fluorescent lamps, the electrodes are placed at both ends of a gas-filled tube and current flows between them. This process provides visible light and heat, which consumes 70% less energy than light bulbs.

When the LED is on, some heat is also released. This heat is absorbed by the radiator and most of the heat is released into the environment, helping to extend its life. Fluorescent lamps and light bulbs are not compatible with radiators, so they tend to be very hot to the touch, and over time the heat will wear away their components, reducing their lifespan.

Another aspect that distinguishes LEDs from other types of lamps is that they are directional, so instead of emitting light in all directions, they only emit light where it is needed, thus using light and energy more efficiently.
